Aya Kaneko,
grew up in Tokyo Japan. She began her training at the Rumiko Yamaji ballet academy. While in Tokyo Aya won several prizes
in various ballet competitions, including the chief judges award at the 5th national Ballet Concours. Aya then came to Canada
to finish her training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Upon graduation Aya became an Aspirant with the Royal Winnipeg
Ballet, dancing in numerous productions with the company including the chinese solo in The Nutcracker. Aya also had the opprotunity
to dance several lead roles in the Aspirant programs shows and productions. Next season she will be joining Colorado ballet
as a member of the studio company
